From sports-based rehabilitation courses and careers advice to dedicated care homes for older veterans, The Royal British Legion is here to ensure every member of the Armed Forces community receives the support they need.

CURRENTLY SERVING
The Legion provides information, advice and guidance to help the Armed Forces community find and access the support they need. We help members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, Reservists, veterans and their families all year round.

VETERANS AND FAMILIES
The Legion provides lifelong support for members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force and their families. We want to make sure that our beneficiaries are able to live in comfort and with dignity.

North West Kent Countryside Partnership

NWKCP is a non-profit organisation, hosted by Kent County Council. We exist to protect and enhance the wildlife and green spaces of north-west Kent though community action and involvement, and through this to improve the wellbeing of local people. Our practical conservation work is carried out by
local volunteers, and we endeavour to create projects that will have a positive effect on their physical and mental health through increased physical activity in the outdoors. We also carry out community and education projects in local schools and green spaces, to help young people learn about and connect with
the natural world.

Danson Park Bowls Consortium Limited

The Danson Park Bowls Consortium consists of five bowls clubs that offer a variety of options in playing bowls, including for the visually impaired. As a registered charity, the aim of Danson Park Bowls Consortium Limited is to promote the game of bowls throughout the Borough of Bexley and its surrounding areas. Bowls can provide healthy and achievable exercise for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Bowls is also a very social activity, bringing a wide range of people together in a healthy outdoor environment.

Alzheimer's Society (Bexley Branch)

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and their carers. We provide information and support to people with any form of dementia and their carers through our publications, Dementia Connect Support Line, website and local services. We campaign for better quality of life for people with dementia and greater understanding of dementia. We also fund an innovative programme of medical and social research into the cause, cure and prevention of dementia and the care people receive.

BCU Lifeskills Centre

BCU aims to address the basic needs of people to be valued, respected and active members of Society by providing support, advice and training for the unemployed, ethnic minorities, women returners, disabled adults and the socially disadvantaged. We aim to enable adults to cope with their individual circumstances and equip them in the longer term with the skills and confidence necessary to either return to the work-force or into education.

Drop-In, Women’s Day; Women's Therapy Group; One to one counselling, advice and signposting to specialist organisations, voluntary work experience, courses (when funding allows)

Irish Community Services

We are an Irish charity working in South London. We offer the following services. Lunch Clubs. Carers support group also Dementia reminiscence groups. Be-A-Friend project for those who are isolated and lonely. Elders Outreach providing support with benefits, Pensions or housing. Advice and Health for under 55 providing housing, employment and debt advice.

Bexley Christian Life Centre

We are a Church with a community heart reaching out to people of all ethnic groups, young and old, families and the isolated with the love of Christ.

The Diamond Jubilee Club for over 65’s with music as reminiscence therapy meeting on the last Tuesday of each month 10.30am – 12.15pm
‘The Rock’ Community Youth Club on Friday evenings 13-18 year olds.
Toddlers Group on Friday mornings 10.00am.
Other groups for young people.

Bexley Borough Pensioners Forum

The Forum are a non party-political equal opportunity organisation. Their principal aim is to promote the welfare and interests of pensioners within the London Borough of Bexley.

Produces a quarterly newsletter and holds general meetings regularly where matters of concern can be raised, discussed and policies developed. They make representations to Bexley Council, MP, MEPs, Health Authorities and the Greater London Council.
