Practically showing how you are making a difference: overcoming some of the barriers to implementing impact measurement

Registration is closed for this event
Trying to measure change can sometimes feel like an assault course! Having the time, energy, skills, money and more can feel like insurmountable hurdles. Here are some tips to making things as straightforward as possible, based on the reality of working in small charities.

Measuring impact need not be that difficult, but sometimes it can seem like there are a number of barriers. How can we overcome them?

We’ll explore:

  • Attitudes towards change in an organisation
  • What’s the problem?! (Knowledge, Attitude, Ability etc?)
  • Overcoming blockages at trustee, office and project level
  • A note about funders
  • Thought processes to help you remain positive
  • How BVSC can support you

This session will be held over Zoom by our Impact Officer, Karen Jefferys. Karen has been working in the voluntary sector for 20 years, 15 of those involved understanding monitoring terms like these and 6 of these years were in the borough of Bexley.

This session is suitable for whoever is driving forward improvements in monitoring and evaluation/Impact assessment. This could be:

  • Staff and volunteers
  • Project workers
  • Person responsible for fundraising
  • Trustees

All of whom can benefit from having a basic knowledge of the subject.

Sign up today, it's not every day there's a free course!

Thank you to the City of London Corporation’s charity, City Bridge Trust for making this training possible.

We would like to take some photos of the session for use in publicity and reporting. Please say if you would prefer not to be photographed (or disable your Zoom camera).
