BVSC is proud to stand alongside charities and community groups that make Bexley such a vibrant and caring borough. Every day, your organisations provide vital support and connection and are the glue that holds and supports our communities, often with limited resources and rising demand.
To effectively champion and support the sector, we need a clear, evidence-based picture of what’s happening in Bexley’s voluntary sector, from what is working well, to pressures you’re facing, and what support would make the biggest difference.
That’s what makes the State of the Sector Survey so important. It’s a way to take stock of where we are as a collective, and the findings will shape how BVSC advocates for you, informing local strategy and funding priorities.
By taking part, you will help us to:
- Build shared evidence that represents the full diversity and value of Bexley’s voluntary sector
- Highlight where funding and investment are most urgently needed
- Demonstrate the economic and social impact of our collective work
- Strengthen the case for long-term sustainable solutions to support the sector
We ask that the survey be completed by a senior member of your organisation, someone with oversight of governance, staffing, finances, service delivery and support needs. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, and every organisation that submits a survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher.

Deadline: Midnight, Sunday 14th December 2025
Your input isn’t just data, it’s a voice for the entire sector. By taking part, you help ensure that Bexley’s voluntary and community organisations are seen, heard and supported in the years ahead.
Thank you for everything you do, every day, to make Bexley a stronger, fairer and more connected community.
Warm regards,
Jattinder Rai CEO, Bexley Voluntary Service Council |
