The course will last approximately 1.5 hours and is an opportunity for you to learn more about what Dementia is. It is also a chance for us to learn about the myths, stereotypes and facts about Dementia today. We will look into how we can support people to live well with dementia, as well as explaining the different types and acknowledging the uniqueness of the condition.
Please join our Dementia Awareness Training on Monday 17th May at 11am, during Dementia Awareness Week, which runs from 17th-23rd May.
We will also look at the symptoms and stages of dementia and what might happen during diagnosis so that you are able to support a person with Dementia.
We will also look at how me might provide care and support so people can live well with Dementia, as well as informing you about other organisations and resources that can help.
This course has been designed for volunteers and care givers, but it may also be useful for a wider audience of those who would like to know more about Dementia Awareness.
