Excel bitesize 5. Creating a Dashboard. (BVSC and Superhighways Summer School)

Registration is closed for this event
Robust, data informed decisions can help with your service planning and show what's already working to funders, commissioners and your key stakeholders. It can also help you make the case for change, evidence need in your funding applications and share your impact with the world. This forms the second session of our Summer school, check out the other 4 sessions.

Description

Dashboards don't have only to exist in the domain of expensive software and company boardrooms, an Excel dashboard is a one-pager

that will help you track key KPIs or metrics in real time. It contains charts/tables/views that are backed by data and which update as you update your data source.

In this training session you learn how to create a simple dashboard to visualise your information for easier reporting and clever planning. Ultimately helping you, your trustees, key stakeholders and others see the big picture of your work.

The course time will allow for a five minute break during the session.

What we'll be covering

  • Creating pivot tables
  • Adding filters & sliders
  • Choosing & adding the right chart
  • Formatting your dashboard

Course format: Online technical group training

This is an online interactive live training session. You'll take part in interactive exercises such as breakout room discussions, polls or chat conversations.

You will be asked to complete individual technical tasks on your PC or laptop. You will not be able to join this training using a mobile device.

It's likely that you will need to either create online accounts or download appropriate software, which we'll tell you about in advance.

Is this course for me?

This is a follow-on course from our MS Excel bitesize 4: Interpreting and presenting your survey results and is part of our Excel Bitesize programme, we would encourage you to work through the courses in order as the skills learnt in each session build on top of each other.
