Role Description

Fixed term until 30th June 2024

Re-Instate is a charity working to improve employment opportunities, quality of life and well-being for disadvantaged people in the London Borough of Bexley including people experiencing mental ill-health, people with learning disabilities and young people.

A key part of this is the Living Well project, offering a range of practical activities and learning for people with learning disabilities and autistic adults around the New Economics Foundation’s Five Ways to Well-being.

 

The post holder will:

  • Co-ordinate and manage a variety of sessions within the Living Well project predominantly for autistic adults.
  • Devise and co-ordinate autism friendly groups.
  • Help plan and prepare food and drink for visitors to the hub and members of Living Well.
  • Assist with the smooth running of activities at the hub.
  • Work with the team to develop the Living Well timetable.
  • Record all activities to map an individual’s progress through Living Well.
  • Work with Living Well members to create a personal development plan.
  • Supporting the understanding of autism amongst staff, volunteers and other organisations.

The post-holder will need experience of creating and running group activities, being happy to get involved in a variety of tasks. They will have some experience of working with autistic adults and learning disabilities as well as good administrative and IT skills.
