On Friday 5th June 2026 we will be celebrating the incredible individuals and teams who make a real difference across Bexley. Taking place during Volunteers’ Week, the Bexley Volunteer Excellence Awards recognise the dedication, compassion, and impact of volunteers who go above and beyond to support their communities.
From inspiring young people to long-standing contributors, and from passionate individuals to outstanding teams, this special evening shines a spotlight on the very best of volunteering in our borough.
Award Categories:
- Bexley Community Star – recognising someone who has made a significant impact on the lives of others
- Inclusive Volunteering Award – celebrating those who have overcome barriers to engage in volunteering
- Longstanding Contribution to Volunteering – honouring 10+ years of dedicated service
- Youth Volunteer – for an inspiring young person aged 11–25 showing real commitment
- Volunteer Team of the Year – recognising the collective impact of a volunteer group
- Trustee of the Year – celebrating a trustee who has made a meaningful difference to a Bexley charity
- Bexley Community Champion of the Year – recognising a registered Community Champion who has shown exceptional passion, commitment, and flexibility in supporting the local community
