Role Description

NAVCA are looking for someone who is proactive, highly organised, with good communication skills, who can work flexibly to carry out a variety of tasks to support the smooth running of NAVCA. This is a varied position, working alongside NAVCA colleagues and providing support to the Resources Team and wider organisation as required.

NAVCA is the umbrella body for local voluntary sector support organisations. We support a thriving local voluntary sector, so that anyone who wants to volunteer, or start a community group has good, local advice and support. As a small team, we work collaboratively and flexibly, supporting each other as well as our members. 

The main responsibilities of the role will be to:

Finance

· Update financial records, input invoices and bank transactions into the finance system, prepare sales invoices and develop effective processes to increase efficiency.

· Process staff expenses.

· Support the team to process membership renewals and distribute funds to member organisations.

Office and IT Support

· Organise regular face-to-face and online team meetings and team events. 

· Provide administrative support to the CEO, including diary management.

· Manage and liaise with external IT support to ensure all staff have the hardware and software they need.

· Maintain a “general” mailbox and answer general telephone enquiries.

· Maintain records of equipment held by staff.

Governance

· Provide support to arrange Trustee meetings. 

HR

· Liaise with HR ensuring all personnel records are kept up to date.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week. The salary is £24,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus an 8% employer pension (no employee contribution required) and 25 days holiday plus 11 days public holidays (pro-rata). You will be supported in your training and career development. We welcome applicants seeking flexible working patterns and we welcome loan or secondment arrangements.

This is a remote working position, with travel to their office in Sheffield weekly.
