Role Description

This is a new role which has been created with Trussell Trust and is aimed at supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society. The Food Bank Adviser will deliver a free, impartial and confidential advice service within the food banks across Bexley Borough area, working with clients to resolve the issues which may lead them to needing to make use of the food bank services.

Role responsibilities:

We are looking for a well organised fully experienced Money/Generalist Adviser to join our service

To provide face to face advice at local food banks to food bank users, including income maximisation, benefits advice, assisting with claims, challenging decisions, debt advice

To provide advice to clients via telephone, webchat and email.

To maintain records of the project work and report on the work to funders, senior management, partners and colleagues

To keep up to date with trends and changes in social security policy.

To take on any other reasonable tasks which contribute to achievement of the job purpose and aims.
