Young Advisers Project Coordinator
Role Description

Advocacy for All provides a number of one to one advocacy services across South London and Kent; supporting vulnerable people to make their voice heard. They are currently recruiting a project coordinator for their Young Advisers' programme supporting young people aged 12 – 25, with a range of disabilities, to act as peer researchers to find out what other disabled young people think about their lives, and help to make positive change in Havering by submitting this information and their recommendations to local decision-makers.

The Project Coordinator will support the group’s regular meetings, developing the Young Advisers' skills as peer researchers and facilitating their research in schools and clubs. The role requires liaising with Havering Council and other organisations to fulfil research briefs, as well as promoting good practice in terms of meaningfully listening to and respecting the views of young people. It also requires developing the Young Advisers' soft skills, such as: communication, teamwork and self-confidence.

The role will be based at Advocacy for All's head office in Sidcup whilst working to support the programme being delivered across Havering.
