This in-person practical training will support participants to strengthen their approach to finding suitable funding opportunities, developing stronger applications and building confidence across the grant-making process.
Refreshments will be available from 09.00, with the training taking palce 09.30-3.30
Who should attend?
This training is relevant for representatives from VCSE organisations who are responsible for fundraising, bid writing or preparing grant applications. Places are limited to one person per organisation.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training, participants should be able to:

Understand how to research and identify suitable funding opportunities by exploring the local and wider funding landscape, funder priorities, eligibility criteria and reliable sources of funding information.

Take a strategic approach to grant funding in order to maximise time and results in both the short and longer term.

Write stronger funding applications and cases for support, incorporating case studies that clearly explain need, impact, outcomes and how the proposed work meets funders’ requirements.

Understand the budget process, including the use of full cost recovery principles and match-funding opportunities.

Understand the role that AI can play in a grants programme and apply some of the concepts shared during the training.

Build stronger pre- and post-application relationships with funders.

Feel more confident about the whole grant-making process.

By registering, participants acknowledge that they may be charged £50 if they cancel their place with less than seven days’ notice, or if they do not attend on the day and do not send a colleague in their place.
